Fall Pictures: Week of September 25th

In the past we have always used Our Heritage Studio for our Fall and Spring pictures, but because most of you have been with us so long, we thought we would try something new for this year’s fall pictures. We will use Our Heritage again in the Spring and for Graduation. On the week of September 25-29 photographers from Moments in Time Photography will be here at the center to take candid shots of your children during their normal day. These shots will not be pre-posed shots of your children sitting right in front of the camera.

You may go on their website to view several examples. They really are great and it is nice to have a professional picture of your child other than the usual posed studio picture. The ordering info will be sent home. It may happen that not all children in one class have their picture taken on the same day. They will take the pictures at the best moment for your child all throughout the week.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday September 20th at 5:00PM

The Parent Group at Woodlawn CDC is very excited about the upcoming year at the center. We have lots of great things planned for the teacher and the children but we need your help.

The Parent Group meets once a month on the 3rd Wednesday at 5:00PM in Linda Almond’s office, the Director. We are here to help support the Director and staff by offering suggestions, assist in the fundraising process and to plan and coordinate special days to honor the staff. Fundraising is a vital part of the center’s success and allows the center the opportunity to purchase much needed additional items. The center has to re-mulch both playgrounds each year, which is very costly and also needs tricycles, rockers for the baby rooms (to name a
